Sub-Acute Care
Sub-acute care is intended for those who require post-hospital care, including rehabilitative therapies, in preparation for their return home.
Northern Riverview Health Care Center's sub-acute program provides a special unit, featuring rehabilitative, nursing and medical services that enable residents to receive needed treatment during a short-term stay in a comfortable, home-like setting. Dedicated professionals provide 24-hour care in the following areas:
- Sub-acute rehabilitation
- Physical therapy
- Occupational therapy
- Speech therapy
- Pain management
- Wound care
- Cardiac rehabilitation
- IV therapy
- Recreation therapy
- Home skills and self-care
Our goal is to help individuals increase strength, muscle tone and endurance, and become more independent with the activities of daily living.
