SNAP celebrates 20 Years of Serving Rockland's Homebound Seniors!
As Northern celebrates 25 years of caring, SNAP (the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) is celebrating its 20th anniversary delivering hot, glatt-kosher meals to 75 homebound seniors in Rockland County. Since it was founded in 1985, SNAP, a project of Lifestyle Options for Seniors Foundation, Inc., Northern's fundraising arm has supplied over 470,000 meals to those in need. Just another way for Rocklanders to experience Northern Hospitality!
SNAP is partially funded by the New York State and Rockland County Offices for the Aging, the New York State Department of Health, the Jewish Federation of Rockland County and Mazon: A Jewish Response to Hunger.
