Staff at Northern Riverview Makes Contribution To Aleyris Martinez Family
Haverstraw, New York February 17, 2009 – Recently the staff at Northern Riverview, Haverstraw made a charitable donation to the family of Aleryris Martinez. Thirteen year old Aleyris Martinez of West Haverstraw died tragically in a snow tubing accident on January 19, 2009.
Several kitchen workers at Northern Riverview knew the Martinez Family and personally felt their loss for the 8th grader described as a beautiful, warm and friendly child. The staff including nurses, management, kitchen, housekeeping and maintenance all supported this effort. Close to $300 was collected in memory of Aleryis Martinez.
“The Northern Riverview Family was very saddened by the sudden and tragic death of Aleyris. We strongly feel the Martinez’s and our community’s loss. I am proud of our staff for their thoughtfulness and actions,” said Janet Lyons of Northern Riverview.
